Before the Journey - Parade by Patriartis
Before the Journey - Parade
They had walked the main street countless times before, although never so confident and proud as on this day. Every event in their young lives had built up to this moment, and at the end of the path awaited a new chapter in their lives; a small but magnificent spacecraft that would take them away from the planet and into history. They were proud to be twins. Proud to be chosen.

This is a prequel to the Journey series. A rare opportunity to see Linus and Linnéa in spacesuits which aren't covered in dirt and/or scratches =)

Confrontation by Patriartis
Confrontation
Hey peeps! Felt like practicing some more human-like anatomy for a change as well as designing epic armor... not that I don't love my little astronauts! ;)

edit: silly me, I accidentally uploaded the slightly unfinished version at first. Now corrected!

The Journey Continues in the Desert by Patriartis
The Journey Continues in the Desert
The road was long, bumpy and all sorts of uncomfortable as the heroic duo clung to the speeding four-legged robot. After what seemed like an eternity of maneuvering through jungle, the sights were now becoming increasingly sandy, dusty and far-reaching. Linus and Linnéa both made this observation, and although it seemed a nice change from the usual damp jungles, they were at this point far too occupied to draw any conclusion about their whereabouts. To make matters worse, the speed started to increase even more as obstacles became less frequent. At the same time, the challenge to hold on became increasingly difficult, and all of a sudden Linus noticed Linnéa losing her grip and was spinning free through the air a ways behind him and the robot. Linus recalled that communication with the robot was out of the question, so he saw no other alternative than releasing his own grip and joining Linnéa on the sandy dunes. When the world finally stopped spinning and Linus raised his head to find his bearings (and Linnéa), there was only a cloud of sand particles where the hurried robot had gone through. "Oh well... maybe we'll catch up to it" Linnéa uttered through the helm-to-helm speaking device. Although the astronauts' journey would continue, it would do so at significantly safer velocities. Probably.

Don't you hate it when you get sand everywhere? -.-

The Journey Continues in a Hurry
Having the robot as a companion ended up being a nice experience for the adventuresome duo. Not only was it a great path-tracker, but its freakish height also gave it impeccable observational abilities. For once Linus and Linnéa were travelling long distances without having to take frequent breaks to review their direction as it seemed the new-found giant was still quite determined when it came to choosing paths. Despite its determination, the giant never forgot about the considerably smaller individuals it was travelling with, and took them upon its shoulders when their short legs needed a rest. The small ones agreed that the view was nice from up there. Suddenly, however, the giant decided that walking pace would no longer be sufficient. After having set down the duo gently, it proceeded to shift and change different parts of its body in a squeaking ballad of cogs adjusting and metal scraping. Linus and Linnéa, not knowing what to expect from this bizarre performance, eventually stood looking at something resembling a large four-legged creature ready to set off in a great hurry. It didn't, however, and they quickly realized that it was waiting for the passengers to climb on-board.

Ah, finally finished this one, unlucky number 13! Also managed to get some transformers goodness in there. Man, I loved that cartoon when I was a kid =)

Interests
Thanks guys for once again proving to me that this thing I call the Journey series is something you enjoy and still want to see more of. Knowing that gives me great pleasure, especially because I still really enjoy documenting Linus' & Linnéa's adventures. I've made a good few by now, and I haven't put too much effort into the story part yet as things sort of just went along, and the situations in which they found themselves came more or less naturally. Lately I've been thinking more about the story part and thinking about planning ahead more, mainly to shake things up. How do you guys feel about the story aspect of this particular series, do you guys care about the story? Or is the visual part what mainly interest you? Let me know as I'm a curious creature =)

Also, a warm welcome to my new watchers who found their way here =) normally I'd thank you individually, but once again you came in sort of a bunch. So, thank you, and I hope I'll hear from you sometime!

Sorry man, I would prefer if you didn't put it as your profile picture, just because there no easy way to tell who actually made it. I appreciate you showing interest in it though =)

Just thought I'd drop by to see if anything's been added since last time (why don't I trust automatic updating?). Instead, I've spent a happy little while revisiting my favorites.

Glad to see you're stopping by and reviewing some of the oldies =) I suppose we can't blame automatic updating this time, as I'm afraid the lack of new stuff is all my fault! Lately I've been occupied with commissions and stuff, which means I've had to prioritize a bit. Fear not though, there should be more Journey coming sometime this week =D

They're wonderful to see even after some time has passed. Can  you
imagine someone saying to daVinci, 'That's a nice lady you painted
there, but what have you done today?'

You're absolutely right, our creations should not be a one-time product for people to enjoy, but something that we all can come back to now and again =) sometimes I get caught in the loop of having to create new stuff though, and feeling really bad when I can't produce personal stuff for a while.
