Frontal Assault by Patriartis Frontal Assault by Patriartis
My interpretation of a futuristic urban battle between two forces. Featuring a mech of course. I wanted to convey a sense of a not-too-distant future-esque feeling, so I designed the mech to look rather crude, but functional.

This piece is sort of special, because it was the first one I started on right after I bought my tablet little over a year ago. Because I've been working on it on-and-off since then, this piece has been reworked and redone countless times as my skills improved, and it has become very hard for me to actually consider it 'finished'. However, it's finished... for now =P

Done in CS5. Original resolution 5456x3143. Textures from cgtextures.

Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it =) I experimented with a whole bunch of characters and poses, and suffice to say it paid off as the early versions seemed quite stiff in comparison.
